Hood Exhaust (Generating Air Exhaust)

Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV)

Hood exhaust as known as Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) is an engineering system.
It captures harmful substances at producing source and moves them away.
This is because harmful substances can pollute the air.
For instance, dust, vapors, and fumes.

Therefore, a poor exhaust system will cause issues with human health.
As a result, workers will face health issues such as lung diseases or harm to their health if they inhale harmful substances.
In short, it is important to have a good exhaust system in order to reduce air pollution in the workplace.

It is important to keep harmful air-borne elements from workers.
Therefore, a good exhaust system is a key to preventing getting ill.

Hood is a starting point of Local Exhaust Ventilation system performance.

It is designed based on the process requirement. Therefore it can act effectively to various types of harmful vapor elements.

Following shows types of hood setup:

Dust Collectors

The dust collector is a system used to enhance the quality of air. When there is air released from industrial and commercial processes, the hood will first collect it. Then, the dust collector will collect the dust and other impurities in the air from the hood.

The dust collector is able to handle high volume dust loads. It could either in the master duct system or standalone.

There are five types of dust collectors. They are inertial separators, fabric filters, wet scrubbers, unit collectors,  and electrostatic precipitators.
